Okay so I’ve seen a lot of things about people’s opinions on Dove’s video for ‘Real Beauty Sketches’, some good, some bad, and I just want to share mine.

Any perception I had of the video flew OUT THE WINDOW the moment Dove’s logo appeared at the end of it. I cannot give any real consideration or thought to a video or message from a company that so openly TESTS ON ANIMALS.

Today I am happily celebrating the longest relationship in my life thus far; veganism and I. Happy, one year and six month veganniversary to me! And what better way to spend it than going to Phila for a performance with Tori and having Mark take us to HipCityVeg after? No better way, I tell you.

On this day exactly one year ago, I woke up and said, ‘I’m going to be vegan.’ Happy veganniversary to me!

Me:  I'm vegan.
Person:  Oh, that's cool, it must be super hard though.
Me:  Actually -
Person:  Like, oh my God, what do you eat?
Me:  Well -
Person:  I could never do that EVER.
Me:  That's what I used to -
Person:  Like, you can't even eat CHEESE??
Me:  That's not exactly -
Person:  I could NEVER give up cheese. Never ever.
Me:  It's really not that -
Person:  Cheese is SO GOOD OHMAHGOD
Me:  Um-
Person:  CHEESE  can't get a word in
